Decants & Authenticity
What is a "decant"?
A decant is a fragrance offered in a smaller format. Decanting involves transferring a fragrance from its original bottle into a smaller atomizer, allowing you to wear and try it without purchasing the full-size bottle.
How do I order a decant?
- Browse our selection of designer and niche fragrances.
- Choose your desired volume (2 ml, 3 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml, 20 ml).
- Add the decant to your cart.
- Select your payment method and confirm the order.
- Receive your fragrance and enjoy it fully.
Are the perfumes 100% authentic?
Yes, 100% authentic. Our decants come from original bottles purchased from authorized retailers or official channels. We do not sell copies, "dupes," or imitations.
The perfume is not altered: we simply transfer the liquid into a new atomizer for testing. Amaru Paris is a company independent of manufacturers and brand owners: we have no affiliation with them and are not authorized to repackage on their behalf.
How do you decant?
Each decant is prepared by hand, upon request, in a clean environment. Using a sterile syringe, we measure and transfer the perfume from the original bottle to a new atomizer, without altering the fragrance.
Why do you offer decants?
Decants allow you to test a fragrance before investing in a full-size bottle. It's the ideal solution for traveling light or discovering several perfumes without a large expense.
How long does a decant last? (number of sprays)
- 2 ml: approximately 30 sprays
- 3 ml: approximately 45 sprays
- 5 ml: approximately 75 sprays
- 10 ml: approximately 150 sprays
- 20 ml: approximately 300 sprays
How should I store my decant?
Store your perfumes in a cool, dry, and dark place, away from humidity and heat sources. Preferably place them vertically (drawer, cabinet, or closed furniture) to minimize any risk of leakage.
Spray or "dab" applicator?
All our decants come with a spray, for easy, precise, and clean application.
Are the decants labeled?
Yes. Each decant is labeled with the perfume name and original brand, for clear identification.
What exactly do I receive when I order a decant?
You receive an authentic perfume, hand-decanted from its original bottle, repackaged in a sample format with a spray and careful labeling, then packaged in a velvet pouch for a refined presentation and optimal protection.
Default plastic bottle + glass option at €0.95
Our decants are offered by default in high-quality plastic bottles, light and resistant, designed to preserve the fragrance well.
For a more premium look, a glass bottle option is available for an additional €0.95. Glass offers better long-term olfactory stability and a more elegant presentation.
Are decants allowed in airplane cabins?
Yes. Our volumes comply with carry-on baggage rules (less than 100 ml per container, placed in a resealable bag in accordance with current regulations). Glass bottles are sturdy but should still be handled with care.
Shipping & Tracking
Where do you deliver?
We ship worldwide from France. Delivery is free for purchases over €30 (see conditions on the website). International rates vary by destination.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping is free for purchases over €30. For orders under €30, fees apply as follows:
- France: €3.95
- International: €4.95
What are the shipping and delivery times?
Preparation and shipping generally within 1 to 3 business days from France.
- France: 2 to 3 business days (indicative)
- International: 3 to 15 business days depending on destination and customs
How can I track my order?
Upon shipment, you will receive a tracking number. You can track your package directly on La Poste's official website: laposte.fr/outils/suivre-vos-envois.
My package shows "delivered" but I haven't received anything.
Once the package is scanned "delivered" by the carrier to the indicated address, we cannot be held responsible for subsequent loss or theft. Please wait 24 to 48 hours (the package may still be in transit), then contact the carrier to open a claim. We will assist you as much as possible.
Orders, Payment & Customer Service
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, as long as the order has not been shipped. If it has already been dispatched, you can return the unopened package to us (return shipping costs at your expense). After receipt and inspection, we will process the refund.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major secure payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.
I received a damaged or incorrect item, what should I do?
Contact us within 48 hours with your order number, a description, and photos. After verification, we will offer you a replacement or a suitable solution.
Can I request a perfume that you don't have?
Yes, tell us which one! We will do our best to source it for you or suggest an equivalent alternative.
Do you accept returns or exchanges of decants?
We do not accept returns or exchanges of decants for refunds: we guarantee authenticity at the time of shipment and cannot ensure the integrity of the product after return. Please consult our Shipping & Refund Policy.
