Chemin d'Amande tells a legend from the Algarve: a Moorish king is said to have had almond trees planted as far as the eye could see to console his queen from the North, who wept for the snow of her homeland. From this image comes a light, reassuring gourmand — freshly cracked almond, almost creamy, carried by the cereal warmth of a wheat bran absolute, then softened by Bourbon vanilla and tonka bean, which leave a powdery sillage rather than a confectionery one. Moreover, the house does not think in terms of a pyramid but of a single accord, held from start to finish. Une Nuit Nomade is a French niche perfume house, born in Paris in 2015 under the impetus of Alexandra Cubizolles and Philippe Solas. The two founders met at Universal Music, she as artistic director, he as marketing director, before leaving music for olfactory writing. The house builds each fragrance like a stopover — Bali, Montauk, Oman, Cape Town — translating a travel memory into a perfumed story. Its style rests on this openly embraced storytelling and on the care taken over its materials, including the Pure Jungle Essence extractions, entrusted to guest perfumers such as Jérôme Di Marino. Chemin d'Amande is the fourth opus of the Extraits de Voyage collection, unveiled at Paris Perfume Week in March 2025.
